The 2019 Grammy Awards will be held this Sunday night, February 10, but who will actually be handing out those awards? CBS and the recording academy have announced presenters for the telecast: Kelsea Ballerini, Leon Bridges, Luke Combs, Charlie Wilson, Alessia Cara, Julian Edelman, Eve, John Mayer, Bob Newhart, Smokey Robinson, Swizz Beatz, Meghan Trainor, Kane Brown, BTS, Cedric The Entertainer, Nina Dobrev, Anna Kendrick, Jada Pinkett Smith and Wilmer Valderrama.

That list includes a number of Grammy nominees and winners from the music industry, but comedian Newhart was actually one of the earliest Grammy winners ever awarded. He won Best New Artist at the third annual awards in 1961, which made him the only comedian ever to win that prize, and he was also awarded Album of the Year for “The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart,” which was one of only two comedy winners in that top category.

Alessia Cara and Meghan Trainor are also members of that Grammy-winning Best New Artist club, though for more traditional singer-songwriter efforts. Country breakout Luke Combs could join that list this year. Rapper Eve, singer John Mayer and rapper/producer Swizz Beatz (aka Mr. Alicia Keys) are also past Grammy winners. Julian Edelman is a winner too, but of a different kind: he just won the Super Bowl as a wide receiver for the New England Patriots.

The jam-packed Grammys telecast will also feature performances by Yolanda Adams, J Balvin, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Chloe x Halle, Miley Cyrus, Andra Day, Dan and Shay, H.E.R., Fantasia, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Little Big Town, Post Malone, Ricky Martin, Maren Morris, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton, Katy Perry, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mark Ronson, Diana Ross, Arturo Sandoval, Travis Scott, St. Vincent and Young Thug.

I wonder if Alessia and/or Meghan Trainor will present Best New Artist.

Will we be able to watch the pre ceremony on tv or anything?

It’ll be on their website, and will probably be a mess as usual. Last year they’d announce the winners on screen before the presenters even reach the category lol…

Only few presenters were announced. I guess they will present only less than 10 categories in the live telecast.

I would be so happy if Greta Van Fleet win something! They really deserve some recognition. Especially for bringing rock music to the mainstream again.

Inbefore the Grammy’s lose half of their viewership with just the opening.

The Grammy producers really fucked up, thinking that Camila and J Balvin would appeal to their traditional viewership.

If the ratings do go up, it’ll be mainly because of the awards season hype surrounding Black Panther and ASIB.

    Ariana win pls

She is the frontrunner in Best Pop Vocal Album and she’s a threat in Best Pop Solo Performance, but she could also lose both, so be prepared for everything and don’t get your hopes up too much! 10 HOURS!!!</p>
