Congratulations to our Experts Joyce Eng (Gold Derby), Tariq Khan (Fox TV), Perri Nemiroff (Collider) and Susan Wloszczyna (Gold Derby) for the best score of 42.86% when predicting the 2019 Directors Guild Awards winners on Saturday. Over 1,400 people worldwide predicted these three film and four TV winners in a total of seven categories chosen by DGA voters. The ceremony was held in Hollywood and was hosted by Aisha Tyler. The film winners were “Roma” (feature film), “Eighth Grade” (first-time director) and “Three Identical Strangers” (documentary). The comedy champs were “Barry” (comedy series), “Escape at Dannemora” (limited series), “Saturday Night Live” (variety) and “Succession” (drama series).

For the other 12 Experts making picks, eight of them are tied with 28.57%: Edward Douglas (Weekend Warrior), Bonnie Fuller (Hollywood Life), Susan King (Gold Derby), Jack Mathews (Gold Derby), Wilson Morales (BlackFilm), Sasha Stone (Awards Daily), Anne Thompson (Indieweire) and Peter Travers (Rolling Stone). Following them with a four-way tie at 14.29% are Thelma Adams (Gold Derby), Erik Davis (Fandango), Tom O’Neil (Gold Derby) and Adnan Virk (ESPN).
